East vs Central 8/25/08

August 25, 2008
By Rick Waller of Sullivan East High School

The Lady Patriots opened up their 2008 season with a home match vs. the Sullivan Central Lady Cougars. The first game seemed to suggest a that the contest was going to be fought tooth and nail as the Lady Cougars won by the narrowest of margins, 25-23. East didn't let the first game get them down and took game two by the score of 25-21. This game seemed to light a fire under Central however and the Lady Patriots couldn't get find the same rhythm they had in game two as the Lady Cougars overpowered the home team the last two games 25-11 and 25-16. East gets a chance to redeem themselves and get their first win tomorrow as they will now host the Volunteer Lady Falcons instead of traveling down to Church Hill.
